G'day Sports Fans,

We're right in the middle of Club Championship season. So here's a tip to help you do well: the tortoise, not the hare, wins the race. Most amateur golfers have never played four rounds of stroke play outside of Club Championships. When they have a big blowout, they often give up.

From 30 years of playing and coaching, I've learned that if you can focus on problem-solving each shot—from the first hole to the very last—you'll do better than most. This takes discipline, especially when things go wrong.

This need for discipline and problem-solving is something I saw firsthand recently. I've just played 20-odd rounds of golf over the last month, and a common theme emerged with every single one of my playing partners. It’s also the number one thing I see when I'm out on a playing assessment with new golfers and at my Saturday Social group. It is one of the main culprits for three-putting.

The good news? It's also one of the quickest and easiest things you can change right away, without any extra practice. You'll have to watch my 'Tip of the Week' video for the details, but trust me, it’s worth implementing to shoot lower scores.

If you're keen to know more about how to reduce your scores, this is just one topic I cover in my 9 Shots Lower in 9 Weeks program. Imagine how different your golf game will be in just nine weeks' time if you signed on now. Frustration begone!

Stop Misreading Putts:
The Number One Spot You're Overlooking

Every golfer wants to reduce their total number of putts, and the easiest way to do that is to improve how you read the greens. My latest video goes into detail on the most beneficial area to read your putts from to save you strokes and lower your scores. It’s a simple change you can make immediately.

I am trying to grow my YouTube channel so more people can get help in my unique way. I would really appreciate three things that will take you less than 5 minutes.

Chris came to me with a massive slice and bad ball striking, so frustrated with his game that he was ready to quit. He had been trying everything he could think of for years with no success.

After joining a Play with the Pro Experience, we immediately saw where his real problems were. We set about transforming his game with a structured plan via my Game Changer Package.

Chris has attended numerous training sessions over the past month, and the results have been incredible. His skills have transformed in both his short and long game, and his swing looks completely different. Even better, he came in smiling about having the best round of golf he has ever had! I was so excited for him.

Chris's story proves that professional coaching provides a shortcut through years of trial and error. Well done, Chris, there's still even more improvement to come!

Chris Gordon is a true inspiration and a testament to the power of golf as part of a recovery journey. As part of his treatment for severe Parkinson's, it's crucial for him to practice and use different motor skills—and that's where golf comes in.

Chris had been seeing me for most of last year, but then he had to take time off for surgery to place a chip in his brain to help reduce his tremors. I’m happy to say the surgery was a huge success, with his tremors and medication use reducing dramatically.

The challenge was that the surgery affected his golf game. The way he moved was now very different, plus he had to have a significant amount of time off to recover.

The success? Over the last couple of months of working together again, Chris has had some of the best games of golf he’s ever had! He scored an incredible 40 points at Gainsborough Greens Golf Course, finishing runner-up in a competition, and then followed it up with 39 points in his very next game.

This is just awesome to see. I can’t wait to see how much better he’s going to get, especially since he told me he's getting the "Tiger Woods chip" inserted into his brain next! Haha.

Saturday Social: Back on the Course!

We had another massive turnout for our last Saturday Social on August 16th, with 28 players in total! We had seven groups, which meant two had to start from the back nine to get us all finished before dark. It was awesome to see so many familiar faces, but it was even better to see some new ones.

A huge welcome to Vanessa, Stuart, Trista, and Robbie, who were all invited along by regulars who’ve been involved in our programs for ages. I know they had a great time, and a big thank you to everyone who played with a first-timer and showed them a great time. The vibe on a Saturday Social is always top-notch, and I'm very proud to be a part of it.

This Saturday is a special one—it's graduation day for my current Get into Golf group! We'll have some new people joining us, and we'll be playing a two-person or four-person scramble. In this format, everyone tees off, and you pick the best shot to play from there.

But remember, this is Saturday Social—we don't have many rules! As long as everyone is having a go, learning new things (and making a few mistakes along the way), and most importantly, having a laugh and fun, that's all that matters. We'll be sure to tell all the sob stories at the 19th hole over a drink afterward!

If you're a regular and want to join, you'll need to book your spot ASAP, as space is limited.
