G'day Sports fans,
Have you ever hit a bucket of balls at the range, felt like you were striking it perfectly, and then stepped onto the first tee only to watch it all fall apart? We've all been there, and it's one of the most frustrating things for any golfer who truly wants to get better. You're putting in the work, but it's not translating to the course.
The big reason for this is simple: the practice you're doing "sucks." It's nothing like the real chaos of a game of golf. This week, I’m going to share a technique that will teach you how to practice on the driving range in a way that will vastly improve your performance on the course. I'll warn you, it won't necessarily feel better at the range, and good training can be a bit ugly, but that's not the point. The point is to train in a way that actually makes us better in the environment where it counts: out on the golf course.
Speaking of playing, I’m in the middle of a run of Pro-Ams and have had some up-and-down efforts. I’ve definitely had some struggles, learning the lesson that even a golf pro can have a difficult time with the game. While I was playing quite well before this run, a bit of hip pain has made things tricky. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’ll keep asking myself good questions to turn things around—which is exactly what I want all my clients to do. There’s always hope, and there’s always a solution.
📌 What's On: Upcoming Events & Getaways!
I'm looking forward to playing with some of my clients at upcoming Pro-Ams at Ocean Shores and Coolangatta Tweed. You can always check out my scores on the PGA website, and I'm hopeful to string together at least one or two good rounds!
The March Vietnam Golf Tour is now sold out. It’s going to be an exciting trip that I am really looking forward to. If you are interested in joining, please let me know, and I can put you on a waiting list in case anyone has to pull out.
We still have two spots left for our end-of-year golf tour to the Northern Rivers. Don't miss your chance to join us for an incredible golf experience!

Why You Can't Take Your Range to the Golf Course
We've all been there: a range session where every shot is perfect, only to get on the course and fall apart. Why does this happen? The truth is, the way most people practice is a million miles away from the reality of the golf course. It’s no wonder your good shots disappear.
In this week's video, I’ll walk you through a simple but highly effective practice technique that will make you a better golfer on the course. It might not feel as comfortable as your usual routine, but it will prepare you for the chaos of real golf.
I am trying to grow my YouTube channel so more people can get help in my unique way. I would really appreciate three things that will take you less than 5 minutes.

A huge congratulations to PWG client Gary Galenter for his fantastic competition win at Surfers Paradise Golf Club, where he scored an impressive 39 points! This is an incredible achievement that comes on the back of Gary putting in some seriously quality practice, focusing on getting back to the basics he had recently moved away from.
This story is a powerful reminder that we never truly "own" good golf. It comes and goes, and just when we think we’ve got it all sorted, it can disappear. But Gary’s success proves that if you put in the correct effort and work on the right areas of your game, things will eventually turn around—even if you're not sure exactly when.
This is the benefit of a consistent, structured training approach over one-off lessons. You learn to trust the process, knowing that persistence will pay off.
